ABOUT ME
My dream of becoming of a sportswriter started back in third grade. Living just about an hour outside of Washington, D.C., I got into sports through a friend. He often wore a Washington Capitals jersey, and he got me hooked onto hockey.

Although I grew up watching all major sports, hockey became my obsession. I loved the speed, the combination of physicality and finesse, and the raw emotion of being in the arena.

I played organized hockey through most of my childhood but soon realized I would not become the next Alex Ovechkin. But I wanted to be involved in hockey somehow. I loved listening to the Capitals' TV broadcasters, Joe Beninati and Craig Laughlin, and studied them by repeating their calls to myself as if I was in the booth with them.
That's when I knew I wanted to be a sportscaster. I loved talking about hockey and wanted to do it professionally. As a student at Penn State, I got involved at the student radio station and TV station to help make my dream a reality.

As the years went by, I discovered that I preferred writing compared to being in front of the camera. I graduated in 2023 with a skillset to become a well-rounded journalist.
